THE RULES.
----GENERAL.
1.The site is rated PG-13. Please make sure ALL content is within that rating. Anything that the staff feels breaks ProBoards terms of service will be removed from the site.
2.Stealing will not be tolerated. If we find that you have stolen graphics, applications, posts, or anything else off the site, or off another site you'll be banned and deleted from the forum.
3.Please register with an appropriate user name. Names / accounts that are vulgar will be immediately removed from the site. It is preferable that you register with your character's first and last name, but as long as it's acceptable and appropriate, you'll be fine.
4.After joining, please change your display name to your character's first and last name using proper capitalization, i.e. : Isabella Swan.
5.While we want to encourage creativity and posting on the site, each member is allowed up to four accounts / characters. All accounts must be active at all times, and you must log into your accounts every day. If one or more of your characters fall inactive, the account risks deletion from the forum. So please make sure you log in as much as possible, that's all we ask.
6.If you are going to be away for an extended period of time please notify staff through the 'holiday' board, also known as 'Round Trip Tickets', or if you would rather a PM would also be sufficient. It's just common courtesy to let us know what's up, or we may think you've gone inactive.
7.While we understand that real life gets in the way sometimes, we can not let a canon character go inactive for an extensive amount of time. If we notice the character is inactive, we may give the position up to someone that can be more active on the forum. So please keep this in mind – it's always best to leave an away message somewhere so we know.
8.If you do not log into your account for two to three weeks, it'll be considered inactive and you may be deleted, UNLESS, you have posted an away message. Also, if you neglect to post in activity checks, your account will be deleted.
----APPLICATIONS.
1. While we are not harsh on applications, we will make sure the applications / characters follow the rules of the site, and we will also make sure that your character will fit into our site. Please do not take any criticism that the staff gives personally, we are just trying to help improve your character.
2. You will have three chances to edit your application, and if you do not make the appropriate edits after the third chance, you'll be denied. Normally this won't happen unless we feel you can't keep up with post length, or you refuse to make the suggested edits to your character.
3. Make sure to use the following format for your application: LAST NAME, first - we have the "Accepted" applications board set in alphabetical order.
4. Do not post in claims until you have been accepted. If you do, your claims won't be added until your application has been approved.
5. Canon characters are given on a first come, first serve basis. If you do not make a reservation in the list, you chance forfeiting your character to someone that completes an application first, or to someone that reserves the character first. Just because you make an account for the character does not guarantee you that spot. So please make sure to post in the canon list and reserve your canon character, whether or not you think someone else will be interested or not.
6. If you are applying for a canon character, you are required to provide us with a post for the character you're applying for. This is so we can see an example of how you wold role play the character. If you need us to provide a starting scenario for you so that it makes it easier to post to something, please let us know. Otherwise, feel free to use a post from another site, as long as it's recent and an example of what your normal post would look like.
---- POSTING.
1.This is an intermediate to advanced site, so please make sure and post at least two decent paragraphs. We don't go by word count on here, but we would like you to make each paragraph about 5-8 sentences in length, thanks!
2.All posting is to be done in past tense, third person.
3.Please make sure to run the spell check before posting, and make sure to look for any possible grammar errors, etc. While we won't be too picky if there are some errors (because no one is perfect) it does make it difficult if the post is full of them. Also, please refrain from using chat speak, spell out your words!
4.You can format your posts as you please, but if you are using color, make sure it isn't too bright on the skin, thanks!
5.Only use size 1 font or size 2 (default) for the main portion of your post. Titles can be in larger sized font as long as it doesn't stretch the board.
6.Follow the basic rules of role playing – don't god-mod, double post, etc.
7.Make sure to tag your threads appropriately so other members know who is allowed to post in the thread.
8.Detailed sexual content is forbidden due to ProBoards terms of service. Please use fade scenes and leave out as much detail as possible in your posts.
----CHARACTERS.
1.No Mary-Sues, everyone is flawed in some way, so please consider this. Also, we don't want characters on the site that are constantly depressed or sad about something, so refrain from making these characters.
2.Rare characters such as hybrids or newborns will be limited, because they're supposed to be rare, and having too many on the site may just get a little annoying. So if we start seeing a lot of applications with these rare abilities we will put a cap on these types of characters.
3.Anything that may exist in the Twilight series is allowed on the site. Please do not try to bring characters from other shows/books/series to this site. Refrain from using last names that are common in other series.
4. While we understand that alcoholism, suicide, and drug addiction are apart of the real world, and we aren't exactly forbidding these characters, please consider the PG-13 rule of the site. If we feel your character will be constantly focused on his/her issues to the point of being a "Mary-Sue" character, your application will not be accepted. In other words, it's okay to mention it here and there, but we won't be allowing anyone to play a character who is focused on the above situations. It just falls to close to our PG-13 rating.
----IMAGES.
1.Please do not use heavily animated or flashing graphics, as it can cause seizures in people that are prone to having them (I fall under this category so please consider that before posting animation. Animated graphics will be removed from the site, sorry =x).
2.All signatures must be no bigger than 500 x 300, avatars no bigger than 100 x 100.
3.While it is not necessary to have graphics representing your character, we do highly encourage it, as it gives a quick visual reference for others as they are role playing with you.
4.Pornographic images are strictly forbidden, anyone posting these images will be banned and deleted from the site.
5.Graphic makers should consider image rules when making graphics for members, thanks!
