outfit with hair & makeup <3 :] ----------------------------------------------------------------
[/i] She blushed as she thought of him while finishing getting ready for their first date. She liked the way she dressed, there was nothing wrong with it. Jake was busy yet again, and she didn’t want to tell him just yet, she was hiding this, yes, this was going to be bad but it was for the good too. The last time Rachel had been on an actual date was last semester in Washington State, she didn’t think the guy was that bad. He was actually pretty sweet, she thought back on it. Rach cursed as she figured a way to tell her father and brother she was going on a date with Paul. She hadn’t exactly seen anyone of the other guys either. They were probably picking on him. “Daddy, Dad…I’m going on a date tonight, won’t be home till late…Love you! I’ll pick you up something later too….chicken is in the fridge, all you gotta is warm it up,” she instructed as she called out from upstairs. Her father seemed to have been watching the game like usual. Yet, it was so early. ”Alright Rachel, be careful. I’d like to meet this guy next time, ok? I know I can’t right now…But I will,” swallowing hard she felt bad for lying to her father like this, but there was no other way to do so. Taking a deep breath Paul had text her that he was on his way, she smiled, since she didn’t want to talk on the phone before that. She wanted to surprise him with what she looked like tonight. It was going to be dinner, and a movie, like normal first dates were. She wouldn’t mind if there was anything else involved in the date. It would be nice to do something different for a change. Smiling to herself in the mirror, she decided to walk downstairs to greet him outside of the house. Just before she stopped she gave her father a kiss on the forehead, ”I promise…I will let you meet him next time…” she said to him truthfully. If there was anything that most people liked Rachel was that she was honest and loyal till the end. Taking charge she noticed his car outside as she closed the front door behind her. Rachel glanced at him and waved, “Hey,” was all she could say as she gave a small hug while standing on her tipy toes. Rachel admired the fact he was so tall, compared to her she was a lot shorter then him. She wasn’t even wearing heels tonight too. Throughout the day she didn’t do much except be a nervous wreck for her first date with Paul Lahote. This was going to be a good night, different, fun, exciting all at the same time. Waiting till he was able to say something she just stood there after giving him a warm hug, she wanted to enjoy it tonight. ooc; sorry if its long again, i know we should do short posts...but i just keep writing when i read them.. :/ <3[/ul][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Hey.." was all he could say in response. She was so beautiful and his heart beat increased as she put her arms around him. He gently hugged her back and smiled. "You look great.. all ready?" He stood almost a foot taller than her, wearing jeans and a casual, untucked button-down shirt. It was the closest to formal that he had ever been, and probably ever would be. He could sort of clean up nicely when he wanted to, though it was rare.
He had driven in his truck, also something out the ordinary for him. He never drove anywhere anymore. Why would he have to? He could just run. "So..this is gonna be one of those sappy first dates, right? I can hold doors open for you and everything?" He chuckled and walked over to his truck, pulling open the passenger side door. He was still real nervous, but he wanted to have fun with her. He walked to the other side of the truck and hopped into the driver's seat. Pulling the clutch, they were off and on their way to a restaurant before going to catch a movie. "How've ya been? It's been a few days.."
Since their night in Rachel's room, he's thought about her a lot, and some of the guys knew right away that something was up. Jake still seemed oblivious, luckily, since he had his own crap to worry about. The guys that did know didn't make it easy for Paul, but he dealt. Paul'd been especially easily angered lately, but was looking forward to this time when he could relax and have fun.
ooc:your post is great(: this'll be like moving on from the other thread. sorry i don't give you as much as you give meD: my posts are more to the point and i'm not so great with description!

[/i] she cursed in her mind as she didn’t want to think bad thoughts. “Thank you…” she replied to his compliment. After the hug she ended up smacking his shoulder because of his joke. "So..this is gonna be one of those sappy first dates, right? I can hold doors open for you and everything?” slapping his shoulder hard but as joke she cringed her teeth and cursed. She was already seated in his truck, but her hand hurt badly. ”What the heck? My hand hurts, after I just tapped you, why?” she pulled her hand and wiggled it in front of her so the pain would go away. "How've ya been? It's been a few days.." Nodding she tried to feel better but didn’t want him to think she was in so much pain. “Hmm, I’ve been ok. Just looking for jobs around town, you know? I’m thinking of doing some bartending for a little while,” she announced and hoped he’d be ok with it. She would have to dress differently then she was now, and she’d be drinking something every night. Which she probably wouldn’t but she’d like to make good tips & good money possibly. She ignored his comment about the sappy date thing, which was uncalled for. She wanted this to work, and it was going to. “Are you working anywhere these days? Besides hanging with Jacob and the guys?” Rach asked quietly as she lightened the mood up a bit. Her life would change when they would be dating more.[/size][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Rach, are you okay?" His joking tone immediately turned to concern when she seemed to be in pain. Dammit.. He got into the car and looked at her hand without starting the truck for a moment. The fact that he could not explain to her practically anything was making him want to punch Sam in the face. It was really taking a toll on him. "Maybe you hit me harder than you thought you were going to.." he said before changing the subject as quickly as possible.
"That sounds cool, good way to make money, I guess. How are the hours? If you ever need a ride or something, I'm here." He wanted to be more of a help to her than a nuisance, and so far things weren't exactly going well. It was just so stressful to be with her. It wasn't because he didn't like her, but because he wanted to be so perfect while she was around, and he was far from perfect as things were turning out. He decided that things weren't going to get better if her was a wreck and that he needed to calm down and start things over. He began to drive.
Sighing , he shook his head. As if he had any time at all for a real job..his job was protecting La Push, and it basically sucked. The hours were terrible and often nightly. The vacations were null and he didn't get salary. Yea, a real job sounded great..but it wouldn't ever be something he could have until this phase of his life was over, and he definitely wasn't ready for that yet. "I uuh..can't have a job. My..dad refuses to let me get one. He..prefers me home helping him out." It was the best lie he could come up with. He barely ever saw his father, but he did help him out every once in a while..chopping trees down and such..so it wasn't 100% untrue..
They pulled into the retaurant parking lot and he grabbed cash that he kept in a compartment in the truck before opening her door. "How's your hand?" He asked with genuine concern before walking her inside to be seated.

[/b][/color] she bit her lip cursing as she said ‘baby’ it usually meant you guys were in a good relationship and she wanted to start using pet names on him to see if sounded ok, and it did. “Yea I guess so. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine, the redness will go down,” it seemed to be as she aired her hand out the window. The truck didn’t start just yet but she hoped that this date would go well. “Instead of doing movies and dinner, like we said we were gonna do. Wanna do something different? We can get take out, and take it down by the beach, use one of the blankets and have a romantic setting out by the sunset,” she suggested this time. She loved the beach. It was her favorite place in the world these days when she wanted to come out and think she would. “I think we should go with my idea…..Oh…Your dad? Wow. I think I’ve seen your dad once when I was younger, but that was it. You know since we’re both locals,” she shrugged and hoped he would start the car by now. Apparently, they had been driving it was just the pain going down in her hand making it better. “It’s fine now. See the redness going down,” she took out her hand and showed him. He seemed to really care for her then, like he had hurt her. As they stopped she scooted next to him and held onto his arm pulling him towards her, “Look at me Paul, you didn’t hurt me…I’m fine, I did it on purpose. I promise you, you didn’t hurt me. I like you too much for you to be able to hurt me that way,” she admitted and hoped he was ok with that answer. Her hand still stuck on his arm she stared in his gorgeous brown eyes and couldn’t help herself she was lost in his eyes. ooc; sorry i didn't post last night, was in a rush. <3 but hope it works for you. :] hope you did good on your test! yay![/size][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

ooc: this can be read as if they had never gotten out of the car(:
As she tried to reassure him, Paul could only think about if he had hurt her and to what extent. It was completely irrational, the way he was thinking. He couldn't concentrate on anything else and he knew it was because he had imprinted on her. Some way to be affectionate, he thought to himself with bitter sarcasm. He gave her an unconvincing nod before getting his eyes on the road.
He looked up as she suggested a new idea for their date. It actually made him really happy. He wouldn't have minded a movie, but they wouldn't even be able to talk during it. She suggested going to the beach with their food, which would be both relaxing and fun. He could talk with her and they didn't have to sit in one place for too long if they didn't want to. Paul had a thing with sitting still, it annoyed the heck out of him.
"I like that idea a lot, actually. That's what you wanna do?" He was growing more eager to begin the actual date at that point. It was really nice wheather to do so and it'd be peaceful sitting on the sand. He even had a blanket in the back of his truck for safe keeping. Being Paul, you never knew when you were going to want to sleep anywhere other than your house. For him, it happened often. Sometimes, he just didn't want to be found.
Aah, his father.. well, he barely ever saw him. He didn't really care to, either. It wasn't like they hated each other, but they had become so distant in the last few years for obvious reasons. "Yea..he doesn't get out of the house much." It was sort of helpful that he never saw his father. No one else did, either. That way, he could use him as an excuse for all sorts of things and no one would ever find out.
Again, she mentioned her hand, and he began to feel a return of uneasiness. Before he could say anything, he found himself pulled close to Rachel as she spoke. He cleared his throat and replied, "Okay.. I'm sorry.. let's just go in and order the food.. so we can get outta here," he said a bit more calmly with a small grin on his face.

[/i] She thought to herself and sighed, as she didn’t try to think about anything else but having fun with him tonight. “Well sure I mean, we don’t have to sit. WE could do other things…” she winked at him and that meant maybe skinny dipping, if there was no one around, the sun seemed to be going down a lot quicker then she realized. This date wasn’t already going so well with her hand, What was he made out of rocks? She cursed in her mind because she was thinking the obvious already and thinking about him too much. Rachel had to admit she was scared. She was scared of dating again. The last boyfriend she had treated her like crap, but she wasn’t going to go off to tell Paul that. He was being so sweet to her already. Since they had met he had been nothing but a decent guy. As they talked about his dad she nodded and shrugged, “Oh I see,” she commented and got out of the door as she followed him after he had calmed down. “You really want to just be alone with me don’t you?” she smirked as she winked and nudged his side this time. He was still warm like the last time and she didn’t know but she was curious to find out. The two went inside as she grabbed hold of his arm her hand slid down and entwined their fingers together. It felt nice with his big hand holding on to her small one. “Sorry, if you’re uncomfortable about that…Tell me,” she asked and hoping he wasn’t. Her phone was kept in her pocket at all times incase anything happened to them, she’d call for help. She hadn’t exactly been to this diner in such a long time since she, Rebecca and Jake were all kids. “Are you ok?” she was going to ask him randomly through the night it seemed like she was making him nervous but that’s not what she intended to do. Walking inside they both waited behind the counter to order the food.[/size][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

ooc: i haven't forgotten about the other thread(: haha this one's just easier to respond to because of what's going on. i'm not quite sure where to go with the other one, yet.
They certainly could to other things, but Paul would leave it up to Rachel."I'm not worried about it," he told her with a smile. "We'll figure it out when we get there." He knew that he probably wouldn't leave the beach without even going in the water, but what they'd end up doing was still a mystery to him. Whatever..they had all night. They had gotten into the restaurant and were talking while they stood in line to order take-out.
"Hey..what about your dad? He's gonna be okay with this once he finds out..right?" He didn't want her in any trouble. Talking about his dad had reminded him of how Rachel didn't tell hers yet. He didn't have the same problem. His father wouldn't have cared.
He smiled and nodded a bit. It was true. "Yea.. I really do.." he admitted. "but it's not because I don't wanna be seen with you..really.. I don't know. I just wanna relax with you, not being watched." He was already nervous enough as it is, he didn't need to add on pressure from any other people.
He smiled again when she took his hand. "Not at all..it's fine," he said right before they had gotten up to the front of the line. He took a menu and held it open in front of Rach and him. "Anything you want, Rach." As she asked if he was okay, he felt a lot calmer for some reason. "I'm perfect," he assured her.

[/b][/color] she nudged again and hoped he was ok. "Hey..what about your dad? He's gonna be okay with this once he finds out..right,” he was a little more freaked out then she thought he would be. Her dad was going to be ok with it all. “Paul, don’t worry too much. My dad can’t say no. I’m twenty two, already graduated, and living at home. Do you really think he would tell me no? Unless, he doesn’t like you. But I know he does,” she squeezed his arm gently this time as they continued to go inside. “Hmmm let me see….Ok. I’ll get the fried zucchini strips, one patty melt combo with fries and a drink, and that’s it for me,” she said to the waiter / hostess guy. She eyed the guy and smiled who seemed to be checking her out but she didn’t care because her eyes were on her new boyfriend Paul. “Thanks honey, your turn,” she whispered as she tried to hold in her laughter. She noticed a few people were staring at them, recognizing him probably; she shrugged it off as she hoped they would be out of there soon. The line didn’t take that long, and the menu’s looked good, as she read through everything. She wanted a chocolate shake too but she figured it would melt by the time they got to the beach. “Oh and a chocolate shake too! Pleasee! Thanks,” she added and continued to cradle herself against his shoulders. She loved his biceps; he was so strong and felt like he could be powerful doing something too.[/size][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"I don't worry too much..I worry the exact perfect amount.." he muttered before flashing her a small grin. He knew he was worrying a bit more than he needed to. He had to tell himself that it was okay to calm down, and that nothing was the end of the world. He wasn't even doing anything wrong. It wasn't a big deal, he kept repeating it in his head. If something went wrong, it wasn't a big deal. Besides, Rachel was right about Billy. Billy was fond of most of the guys in the pack and Paul knew that. Paul was a small exception when he was causing trouble, but he knew that Billy was like a father to all the guys, nonetheless.
It felt like a hole was burning through his head as all the eyes stared, most likely plain surprised to see Paul like that, and with a girl. At first, he was ready to flip out on everyone for making him so damn anxious, but he was able to convince himself otherwise. There was no need to be bothered by everyone else. Smirking inwardly, he felt much better and was able to ignore all the nosey people. "I'd like the same as my girlfriend, please," he said politely. It felt good to use that word..the word that was practically binding them. He hadn't had intentions to order the same meal, though when she had said it aloud, it appealed to him and he really wanted to try it.
They waited for what really wasn't as long as it seemed, standing hand in hand at the podium. Once they got their meals in small boxes, Paul paid the host and left the restaurant after thanking him. Stepping outside gave him such a sense of freedom, like they could now do what they wanted without anyone else watching. "The food you wanted suddenly sounded really good," he admitted with a chuckle once they had made it back to the truck. "So, the beach now, correct?" He couldn't wait to spend some alone time with her.

[/color] she explained. Rachel had missed her sister and was also curious as too if she and her husband were still together. “Sure, off to the beach,” only true locals would be at the beach on a date. She loved being around him. Honestly, she hoped that she could some truth & answers out of him tonight. Would he budge? Minutes or two later as soon as they entered the truck and was on their way to the beach she carried the food on her lap. “I don’t know why we didn’t date sooner. I always thought you were cute,” she admitted and blushed hoping he wouldn’t get distracted driving. But they were almost parked and closer then you thought they were. “Oh good, there are a few people here. It’s not so bad,” she added with a chuckle hoping that the day would be normal tonight. Jake was home so there was no reason to worry if she felt like she had to leave. She didn’t want too. ----- ooc; i think im gonna change her outfit since they went to the beach... lol! sry its short! :/ dress with sandals <3 [/size][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

ooc: never worry about length of posting with me(: i care about how progressive the thread is and how much you move forward in each thread more than i care about length, and you've never given me too little to work with.
Laughing a little as he stopped the truck, he answered, "How'd ya like my nickname back there?" It was a teasing tone as he had noticed her reaction when he had said girlfriend. He was liking every little bit of them being together, even when they were both so nervous that they had to remind themselves to inhale. A blush entered his cheeks after hearing her comment. "Thanks.. you were always beautiful. We probably would've dated sooner if I hadn't been such a coward. I just couldn't really..talk to you.. so I settles for hanging out with your brother." It was true, too. He had wanted to get to know her, but the circumstances had never presented themselves.
There were the perfect amount of people there to make the setting comfortable. He got out of the car and grabbed a blanket and his food before heading out into the sand. He stopped as soon as he found a spot that felt fairly flat and spread the blanket out for them to sit on. "Do you hang out here a lot?" he asked her curiously. They lived near the beach, but Paul had never really been there as much as one would expect. He never really had someone to go with, so he spent more of his time near the cliffs since diving had been something he could do alone when he was stressed.
He sat down, cross-legged, onto the blanket and opened his food up, delighted when the smell of it hit his nose. "If I die from eating this, I'll blame you for choosing this meal," he said with a grin. He really wanted to start learning more about her, but he wasn't sure where to start. He figured that sparking any type of conversation would help, so he tried to keep the comments and questions he had coming.

[/color] she admitted since it had a nice ring to it. “I’m sure my brother would’ve allowed you to talk to me. Besides you’re not that much younger then me,” she grinned and caressed his cheeks. Nodding to his question she followed and sat on it next to him, “Yes sir. I do, all the time. Well only when I’m here by myself, it’s nice to have some company with me this time,” she smiled slightly as she relaxed but she figured that they would go swimming a little later in the ocean. She loved swimming, especially when it was cool. "If I die from eating this, I'll blame you for choosing this meal," almost spitting up her drink she nudged and couldn’t help but giggle. “Hey, you’re the one that copied me…Mmm it’s soo good,” as she said while taking a bite out of the patty melt. She liked eating different things but she also watched her figure, and hoped that he wouldn’t care what she looked like. But with his body she was still going to try and stay fit against his figure. “What are you thinking about Paul? In that humongous mind of yours?” she asked curiously as her eyes lingered staring at him. ooc; omg so short sorry! but sorry it took me awhile..had a busy weekend.. <3 miss ya! She liked it. Well, that was a relief. Good, he said with a laugh. Maybe , eventually, I'll be used to saying it. He nodded, thinking about what she had said. He wasn't so sure. Jake could be an overprotective tyrant when you messed with the wrong person. He saw Jake as a brother, but he seriously had a problem with some of the ways Jake would handle certain things. We woulda figured something out without Jake's permission, he added lightly with a smirk.
The mood was light and he knew that was a good thing. Before, they had both been scared to death of messing up. Now, it was evident that they both seemed more comfortable. He tried to picture them years ahead, still together and happy, and maybe even comfortable around everyone else rather than being alone all the time.
Sure, try to blame me now before it's too late, he joked in response to her comment, which was actually correct in that he had chosen what to order. He took another bite, enjoying every bit of food in his mouth before swallowing. He looked up at her slowly as she asked what he was thinking about. It was almost like she could read his mind anyway. She knew when he was distracted. She could just..tell. It'd be so much easier if she knew everything. I imprinted on you, he thought before thinking up a real answer he could provide for her. What I feel for you, I don't think it's normal, he said hesitantly. He shrugged it off, not wanting her to think much of it. The whole thing was just new to him, having a girlfriend, let alone having a pull toward one.

[/color] she would hate to think she just almost pleaded to her future and current boyfriend the one he could be. Her thoughts were overflowing of what it might entail and she was just so curious to know how he felt for her. Everything seemed so interesting with him this time. “Honestly, you know what. I really am starting to think that I don’t give a damn what Jake thinks about my relationship with you. I am twenty two years old, and you are twenty one, we’re both legal. It’s not like you’re five years younger then me, or even worse eighteen,” she cried out in embarrassment and kinda laughed along. “If you were eighteen, I don’t know what I’d do with myself. I’d try so hard to keep my hands off you…..” she blushed almost hiding her face as she turned it to look into the ocean where she hoped they would eventually swim in. “Sorry, I’m so embarrassed. I shouldn’t have said that about my hands….Wow, I really do have a big mouth sometimes and I just tell everything that I feel too. You know if you need me to shut up you can tell me too, if I talk to much,” she laughed again this time almost glowing red on her face just as much as she was before. She couldn’t help herself she didn’t think she would ever get like this again. The only time she was like this around was when….No. She couldn’t be doing this. She had to back out now. Rachel had only just met the guy for a few days but she had known the younger version of him for years. Suddenly, she fell silently finishing her meal and slowly drinking her shake she really could embarrass herself around guys and she hated that. [/size][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]
