Hey there,
Since the plot isn't really all that detailed, I thought I would give you all a time line of when we're set exactly, so you know what's ahead of you and what's behind you.
The current month is June of 2006. This is the month that Bella is trying to finish the last year of High School, and there's only a few more weeks left until graduation. The Cullens are talking about having a graduation party at their house to celebrate. Bella and Edward are discussing wedding plans, etc. along with Alice's help. Also, Bella has yet to tell Jacob that she'll be a vampire soon.
Basically anything before that has already happened. You can find a more detailed time line for the Twilight Saga HERE. Hopefully that will help any confusion for future posting. :]
